Lakefront Tree Planting with Pontchartrain Conservancy

Join the Pontchartrain Conservancy for a native tree planting along the lakefront! We are seeking volunteers to help us plant 50 trees (20 bald cypress, 20 live oak, and 10 magnolia) along the bank of Lake Pontchartrain. We will meet on the lakefront for 8:30am on Saturday April 16th at 1799 Lake Terrace Dr, New Orleans, LA 70122. Pontchartrain Conservancy will lead volunteers in digging, tree planting, soil mixing, and mulching. Please come prepared with sturdy footwear and clothing that can get dirty. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
