Medical Career Field Day
Monday, June 26 2023
Students can come out and have a table at the Medical Career Field Day. There will be several professionals there in the medical field. These unclude and are not limited to paramedics, nurses, CRNAs, doctors, and STUDENT doctors (us). They want to show kids what the medical field looks like and we will have a station where students can share information about our profession and what it takes to take to become a D.O. The event will likely be outside (dependent on weather) and a learning experience for the kids to understand the specialties of medicine etc. As students talk to the kids about being student, where we plan to practice, what it took to get where we are today and show them some of the hands on things we have learned in medical school. You can show them your stethoscope and if you have a blood pressure cough or anything from the physical exam kit please bring it and show the kids the skills we have learned thus far! Should be a fun day to just hang out and talk to people in the community. Bring white coats, don’t have to wear just so the kids can see them and scrubs (dress the part of a doctor).
