VCOM Louisiana

This event will allow students to better understand the needs of the Monroe community,
specifically in regards to individuals in this town who face significant barriers to having their
basic needs met. This project will allow the VCOM student body to help meet a portion of the
tangible needs (i.e. hygiene supplies, gloves, etc.) and emotional needs (i.e. through including an
empowering, uplifting card in each kit!) of the homeless community in Monroe. By know means
does this project claim to solve the systemic barriers and impendences that fuel the poverty cycle
(I WISH it could!!). However, every drop in the buckle helps and hopefully it will open the eyes
and hearts of our student body.
