This is a super unique TOUCH opportunity for people wanting to use the things they learned in
med school to impact the community! This is a partnership with Louisiana Families for Vaccines
to help engage community members and educate on vaccine hesitancy. Volunteers will be
required to potentially interact with vaccine-hesitant community members empathically and offer
them education/resources on why vaccines are safe through the use of positive, affirming
language. For other community members, you will encourage them to sign-up and receive
updates about vaccine events in the community. T-shirts will be provided for volunteers! There
is no dress code.
This opportunity to volunteer with LFV will occur a few more times, so if you are interested in a
recurring volunteer advocacy project through ACOEP, make sure you sign up for the others as
well! They will be on TiF! This is also a good opportunity for networking with other community
partners as well if you are looking to carry out a project or get in contact with a specific
organization!
