Mobile Home Owner Advocacy - Public Law Center
Friday, April 15 2022
Mobile home ownership is one of the few ways for low-income individuals to acquire assets. However, the majority of mobile homes are located in mobile home parks, which subjects them to a landlord-tenant relationship. Student volunteers are needed to assist low-income mobile home owners with issues they face with the park management/ownership and or other tenants. Under the supervision of Public Law Center housing attorneys, students will conduct research/investigation, draft documents and advocate on behalf of the clients, including advocacy for rent stabilization legislation for mobile home parks in Orange County.
Estimated time commitment: 4 hours per week (flexible based on students' schedules)
Number of available spaces for students: 1
Location: Virtual
