The Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Self-Help clinic provides guidance to self-represented clinic customers who cannot afford to hire an attorney. These debtors have questions ranging from whether they should file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy to what to do in an Adversary Proceeding. Often, debtors face great financial pressures and are not sure what they can do due to misinformation from the internet or from well-meaning friends. When debtors come to the clinic, the information and guidance they receive provides them with clarity, understanding and hope regarding their circumstances. They are then able to navigate the bankruptcy court system more smoothly.

Format & Schedule:
Appointments are currently on zoom and are set for 45 minutes beginning at 9:30 am. The last appointment ends at 12:30 pm.

Law Student Volunteers:
Law student volunteers start out shadowing other volunteer attorneys. If interested, student volunteers may continue to work with Public Law Center and help perform intakes.
