Georgia Students Rapid Response Voting Rights [from 10/17 – 11/11]

The Southern Poverty Law Center is looking for volunteers to provide immediate assistance during early voting, on election day, and during the cure period. Volunteers would be working to ensure that issues escalated by the Election Protection call centers are adequately addressed by attorneys.
Volunteers will be culling the database from the call centers and following up on voting rights issues to resolve them or help the attorneys get more information if a legal action may be required.

Below are the volunteer needs:
Early voting is from 9-5pm, and early voting weekend hours are up to 7am-7pm and the cure period is 9-5pm (regular business hours).
Early voting (Oct 17 - Nov 4)
1. Monday – Friday: 4 people per day for each day of the 15 weekdays of early voting, who can work at least two hour shifts (9-11, 11-1, 1-3, 3-5)
2. Weekends: 6 people per day for each of the 4 weekend days of early voting, who can work at least two hour shifts (7-9, 9-11, 11-1, 1-3, 3-5, 5-7, 7-9)
Election Day (Nov 8)
1. 7am - 7pm with 3-4 people at all times for minimum 4 hour shifts: 9 people who can work at least 4 hour shifts (7-11, 11-3, 3-7)
Cure Period (Nov 9-11)
1. Wednesday - Friday 4-6 hours per day for minimum 2 hour shifts: 4 people per day for each of the 3 days of cure period, who can work two hour shifts (9-11, 11-1, 1-3, 3-5)
