GAO is one of several national partners to challenge Georgia's practice of segregating students with disabilities in separate programs rather than in their zoned schools. GAO regularly represents students to avoid placement in GNETS and/or to facilitate their transition from GNETS. Students could participate in this representation by conducting intake, reviewing and outlining records, and facilitating advocacy.
