Training Description:
Georgia Legal Services Program (GLSP) through its statewide disaster legal services coalition, Georgia Team Ready is hosting a training for lawyers and law students to equip volunteers to help with disaster-related legal needs. You will learn about the basic legal needs of disaster survivors, the disaster “timeline” for the appearance of the different legal issues, how GLSP supports you as a volunteer, where to access disaster law legal resources, and how the advice cases are assigned, tracked, and reported. Everyone is welcome to sign up and attend, and training qualifies as pro bono hours.
