Native Planting at Granite Mountain in Putnam Valley NY
Sunday, October 15 2023
Come help us restore forest habitat by planting native plants at Granite Mountain Preserve in Putnam Valley, NY (Putnam Co.).
You’ll work with the Wild Woods Restoration Project volunteers who have grown the native plants we'll be planting from locally-collected seeds. No experience is necessary. We provide the tools.
We will hike uphill on steep rocky trail for about 1/4 mile carrying our plants and tools to our planting site. You'll be working off-trail on sloped, rocky terrain. We'll be planting small plants using lightweight tools.
REGISTER: Event is limited to 10 participants. Advanced registration is required.
More details about meeting location will be provided on sign-up. You'll receive a confirmation email immediately after registering. If you do not, please contact us for important event details.
