Los Gatos Rowing Club

LGRC will be hosting a “Taste of Rowing” for the junior parents. The idea is that the rowers have fun, learn a bit, and maybe return for LTR and join the club. All instructions need to be simple, short, and probably stated repeatedly. This counts for 4 hours of volunteering for most roles (erg instruction and greeters are slightly shorter).

We will again have three eights in each session. Classes run from 11:30 :00-2:00 (but volunteers need to be there at 10:30-2:30, if possible; you can “share” a position if you can’t stay the whole time but need to help find a replacement, please)

Everyone needs to be there at 10:30 to help carry down three boats, oars etc. The parents arrive for 3 separate classes at:
11:30, ergs until 12, then rows until 1:00
12:00, ergs until 12:30, then rows until 1:30
12:30, ergs until 1:00, then rows until 2:00

Again, we need to keep exactly to time and keep all instruction brief, helpful, and positive! Running 18 people through so quickly requires that we keep strictly to time. And It is, usually, a lot of fun :)
