Family Friend

You will be assigned a family, which includes taking them to run errands including going to the doctor, dentist, bank, or grocery shopping. You can share meals together, go to the movies, or fun family outings. Do not feel like you have to buy them food or pay for medical expenses. The family friend builds relationships with the family and helps with acclimating the family to the area, which might include helping them get used to the bus system. It really depends on the needs of the family. Our ultimate goal is to share our faith, kindness, and acts of service with refugee families over time. This is a long-term commitment.
