Ohio History Connection

Are you a new Ohio History Center volunteer? Did you come on-board after August 1, 2019? Attend this New Volunteer Meet-and-Greet Session. All new volunteers are encouraged to attend a meet-and-greet session within the first three months of volunteering, designed to help meet fellow volunteers, transition into the organization, and learn what the norms of the volunteer program & organization are. New interns are also encouraged to attend, but not necessary. During the meet-and-greet, you’ll get to learn about the perks & benefits of being a volunteer, be able to ask questions about the volunteer program and more. Are you familiar with the Ohio History Center? Explore and partake in a museum scavenger hunt and win cool prizes.

Are you a veteran volunteer? Have you been volunteering with us for the past few years or longer? Be a welcome ambassador. Join us, meet and welcome our new volunteers. Get a refresher on policies and protocols. Learn about what to do in case of an emergency, updated volunteer benefits and more. Hope to see you there! Space is limited to current volunteers, but we'll catch you at the next one.

*All volunteers who attend will earn volunteer “merit” hours & get put into a special drawing. Merit hours are adjusted volunteer hours to reflect "time-and-a-half" or "double time". These hours will be tracked, entered and approved by the Volunteer Office and will only apply to attending a Volunteer Meet-and-Greet Session. This credit will only be applied to a volunteer once a year, for attending.

These sessions are held quarterly, (Jan., Apr., Jul., and Oct). This month's session will be held in the Paw Paw Classroom at the Ohio History Center, 800 E. 17th Ave. Light refreshments provided.
