Delta Rising is a cultural experience and musical journey that showcases the unique food, art and music of the Mississippi Delta. It transports the audience to that geographic and mythical place where you are immersed in what makes the delta such a profound cultural influence on the world. There would be no Beatles or Rolling Stones if it weren’t for delta blues.

As with any delta event, food is going to be at the center. Delta Rising is no exception. The audience can sample delicious regional and ethnic foods prepared by delta residents with recipes and stories passed down from generations.

Patrons will meet and greet the most unique delta artists exhibiting some of their current work that will be available for purchase. Weaving all of this together will be live performances from a variety of world renown delta artists that will provide the soundtrack with their music. Delta Rising is truly a one of a kind experience that should not be missed.
