Agriculture Show 2025 - Evergreen Park

We will be teaching farm safety at the annual Agriculture Show hosted at Evergreen Park and we need volunteers to help us out! We will be running various stations (as seen below). We will provide training on what each station entails as well as a script. Don't hesitate to ask questions! Email: programs@gpsafecommunities.com

9:30am - 1:30pm
Sun Safety Station
Help set up before start time and a quick run through (10:00am). This station will talk about the importance of protecting your skin from the sun. Go over material with afternoon volunteers.

Dugout (water) Safety
Help set up before start time and a quick run through (10:00am). This station will talk about the importance of not swimming in a dugout alone. It will also cover what dugouts are and why we always need to wear life jackets when swimming in open water. Go over material with afternoon volunteers.

Grain Safety
Help set up before start time and a quick run through (10:00am). This station will help children and adults understand that grain is dangerous and should not be used as a playground. Go over material with afternoon volunteers.

Helmet Safety
Help set up before start time and a quick run through (10:00am). Go over material with afternoon volunteers. This station helps people understand why wearing a helmet is crucial when doing any type of sport, and how it affects your day to day life if you get injured without one.

Discussion on tractor roll overs and a demonstration on the table.

Discussion on how chemicals can look very similar to regular house items and why its important to label bottles.
