Volunteers Needed for Fall Merit Badge Event - October 5th at Morehouse College

Greetings Sorors,

We are reaching out to request your support as a volunteer for the upcoming Fall Merit Badge event for Scouts BSA, on October 5th, 2024, sponsored by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Eta Lambda Chapter. To ensure adequate supervision and support for all the scouts, they are in need of 25-30 female volunteers/chaperones. This will help them provide the necessary coverage for each merit badge class where female scouts may be present.

All volunteers must complete the YPT (Youth Protection Training) certification before they can participate. The YPT certification is a 60-minute virtual class that you can take at your convenience (you don't have to complete it all at once). Please sign up for certification training by Sunday, August 25, 2024. You can find the link to the YPT certification https://www.scouting.org/training/youth-protection/

There is a set deadline of October 1, 2024 for volunteers to complete the YPT training. This will give them enough time to address any questions and ensure all volunteers are prepared for the event.
