Planting Trees with Bluegrass Disc Golf Association @ Shillito Park

Disc Golf, anyone? We're teaming up the the Bluegrass Disc Golf Association to plant trees at our local disc golf courses! We'll begin at Shillito Park on Saturday, 10/21 planting Swamp White Oak, Red Maple, Sweetbay Magnolia, and Crepe Myrtles that were gifted to Trees Lexington by the Arbor Day Foundation earlier this year, along with multiple additional species provided by Trees Lexington. The BGDA maintains the disc golf courses in Lexington and we're excited to work with them on this project that will benefit their sport and Lexington's tree canopy goal of 30% canopy cover.
This event earns tree planting credit hours for Tree Steward Training!
