Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano - Concord Warehouse

California has one of the largest economies in the world and yet, in spite of our amazing agricultural abundance, 1 in 11 people–and 1 in 8 children–are facing hunger. The Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano provides 3,500,000 meals each month. You will be will be working at the food bank’s Concord warehouse to sort donated food or bag produce.
Transportation will depart Athenian is 7:45am with a pickup option at Walnut Creek BART. Anticipated return to campus is 11am.
This is a 10th Grade Service Activity. You will need to participate in pre-service and post-service sessions on October 2 and October 9 during Wednesday Community Service.
