Dock Street Park planting (root pruning)

Come help plant trees in one of the city's newest riverside parks! James River Park System has 15 B&B trees (1 Sycamore, 8 Bald Cypress, 4 multi-stem River Birch, and 2 Black Gum) that will need root pruning before going into the ground. They've arranged for staff and equipment to move and plant the trees, but need skilled help with the root balls. Trainees who have planted and Tree Stewards: this is the job for you!!
Park is located at 3021 Dock Street, Richmond VA 23223. Park at The Great Shiplock Park or Main Street. See the attached map for meeting location. Dec. 5 will be a follow-up day if work isn't completed.
