Pruning at the Science Museum of Virginia
Wednesday, April 16 2025
The Science Museum of Virginia has asked the Richmond Tree Stewards to prune some of their trees in front of the museum. Since these are some of the most high profile trees in Richmond as part of "The Green", John Grogan has assembled a team of experienced pruners to lead this pruning effort. But this is a great opportunity for others to come out and shadow these team members to learn how to approach and execute structural pruning on what are some somewhat complicated trees. This will not be our normal fast pruning of 50-60 trees, but rather a slow, methodical and collaborative process of pruning about 20 trees. It will definitely be a great opportunity to learn.
