RTS Tree Giveaway at Hickory Hill Community Center

Trainees and certified Tree Stewards are welcomed and needed!! This year, the RTS Tree Giveaway will be held at the Hickory Hill Community Center, 3000 E Belt Blvd, Richmond, VA 23234. It will involve giving away 500 trees to residents of the Southside of Richmond. Additionally, if requested by the tree recipient, a Tree Steward will go to their house and plant the tree for them in their yard. The organizer for this event is Teresa Davis, Tcmd17@gmail.com. 8:30am - 11:00am
Tree Pickup #1
Volunteers will help fulfill tree orders by retrieving orders, selecting the trees and loading them into the person's vehicle.
9:00am - 11:30am
Tree Planting #1
Volunteers will go to the homes of tree recipients and plant the tree for the person in their yard.
10:30am - 1:00pm
Tree Pickup #2 and Clean-up
Volunteers will help fulfill tree orders by retrieving orders, selecting the trees and loading them into the person's vehicle. They will also help cleanup after the event ends.
11:15am - 1:00pm
Tree Planting #2
Volunteers will go to the homes of tree recipients and plant the tree for the person in their yard.
