Richmond Tree Stewards

This is the second tree planting of this planting season for the Swansboro West Tree Planting project. This planting will focus along Lawson Street in Swansboro West. The meeting spot will be East 33rd Street and Lawson Street (vacant lot on the corner). A total of 45 trees were planted across four plantings last season and we are shooting for another 100 trees to get in the ground this season. We are planning for 10-15 trees for the November planting. Again this year, Richmond Parks and Rec. have offered to auger the holes for us so that should make digging much easier, but we need experienced tree stewards to help prepare the root balls and supervise neighborhood volunteers so it is not all hard labor.
