PTO
St. Mary's has several officer positions available. Volunteering for the PTO is a way to give back to the St. Mary's community and make critical decisions on how we monetarily support the school and bring our communities together.
Roles and Responsibilities
President:
- Schedules meetings with the principal
- Manages the PTO and keeps track of all the things that need to be done
- Ensures that family events, fundraising events, and membership drives are planned for the year
Volunteer Hours = 25
Vice President (President-Elect)
- Assist the president
- Perform the duties of the president if the president is absent or unable to serve
- Be an ambassador for the PTO and the school

Secretary:
- Keeps records and communicates with parents
- Some PTOs divide this role into a recording secretary and a corresponding secretary
Volunteer Hours = 25
Treasurer
- Manages the organization's funds, including collecting donations, writing checks, and reconciling bank statements
- Develops the annual budget and presents it to the PTO
- Prepares financial reports and attends meetings
- Ensures the organization's incorporation and tax filings are up to date
