Outdoor Classroom Installation
Saturday, August 28 2021
Our mission at TRCCS is to develop the whole child through nature, art, language and music. And because we are located in Central Wisconsin, learning in nature requires a lot of prepping for the vast degrees of weather. We need a bunch of help to get the outdoor classrooms installed and ready for learners!
Work will include clearing brush, spreading woodchips, cutting down small trees, moving outdoor furniture, hanging rain canopies/chalkboards, constructing pavilion/tent kits, and assembling outdoor furniture.
Volunteers should be prepared for a lot of physical work including walking, lifting, bending, stooping, and loading/unloading. Dress appropriately and bring water and snacks for your family. Garden tools like shovels, rakes, pruners, and work gloves will also be helpful if you have them. Older children who are willing and able to help are welcome to come as well. Younger children who require supervision are not a good fit for this volunteer opportunity as there will be a lot of activity and vehicles moving about campus.
