Operation Orange - Tahlequah

If you have already signed up for an Operation Orange this semester, please refrain from signing up until everyone has the opportunity to attend one.

Operation Orange is an outreach program for high school students. On Saturday 2/11/2023, we will be having operation orange in Tahlequah, OK. The arrival time is 7-7:30 am.

BELOW IS DETAILED INFORMATION:
Dress Code: Black scrub pants with Operation Orange T shirt (you will receive this the day of the event)
Breakfast and Lunch will be provided
You will receive a $50 check at the end of the day

Mandatory Trainings
You will need to attend the SIM and Intubation Training. (If you want to get it done early, here are some training dates, but more will be available in January.)

Tulsa: December 2nd from 1-2:00 pm
Tulsa: December 9th from 2-3:00 pm
Tahlequah: January 5th from 2-3:30 pm
Stations:
SIM/Anatomy: the station will be split between working through a simulation case and demonstrating anatomy. It will be a heart and lung and you will just go over the basic anatomy structures.

Intubation: You will teach students to intubate on the mannequins. You will find the fastest/most accurate in the group and then at the end of the day, they will race against the winners of the other groups.

Chest Compressions: You will teach students chest compressions and then towards the end of the station, they will race against each other to find the most accurate in the group! At the end of the day, they will compete with the winners of the other groups.
