Weeding In the Front & Clean Up (Middle School) In the Back

Saturday, April 06 2024

The first Ridgeline outdoor work party has been postponed from March 2, to April 6, due to cold and wet temperatures.

We have two primary goals for this initial school clean-up day.

1. Weeding - In preparation for bringing in new mulch the following weekend, we would like all of the beds on the Amazon Drive-facing side of the property to be raked, pruned, and weeded. Ridgeline has some weeding tools and a few pairs of gloves but we encourage you to bring your own tools and gloves so you have what you like to work with. We will also provide buckets, wheelbarrows, and yard waste bins.

2. Clean Up & Pruning - The area behind Middle School on the west side of the property needs stick and branch clean up, pruning of the dogwood, and ivy pruning on the fence line. Ridgeline has some gloves, loppers, and rakes you may use but we encourage you to bring gloves and tools if you have them, so you have what you like to work with. If you have a hedge trimmer or pole saw please bring it, we could put it to very good use!

****** If you can come for 1 hour, that's totally fine - please still sign up to help! We encourage you to bring the whole family and accrue several volunteer hours all at once! (example: If you are a family of 4 and all help weed from 10am to noon, you can track 8 volunteer hours at this event!). We will take all the help we can get!

****If you have them, please bring your own gardening gloves, weeding tools, buckets, pruners, etc.
