Arbor Day Tree Planting at McCoy Park

Join Portland Parks & Recreation Urban Forestry at McCoy Park for a community tree planting activity as part of our Portland Arbor Day 2023. This hands-on activity will be led by tree planting experts. We will plant 16 trees. Help beautify McCoy Park and the New Columbia Neighborhood.
Work will include:
-Setting out tools
-Watching a demonstration on how to properly plant a tree
-Leading groups of participants on tree planting
-Mulching
-Staking trees
-Cleaning up tools
Details:
-We will work rain or shine, so be sure to dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes.
-Snacks and water will be provided to volunteers. Please bring a reusable water bottle.
-Urban Forestry will have gloves and all the tools needed.
