Tree Stewardship at Mt. Tabor Park

WHAT: Join Tree Stewards Lisa Wilcke and Lise Gervais, on Sunday, October 8, to battle back blackberries and reveal a Strawberry Tree Arbutus unedo.
WHERE: Mt. Tabor Park, far Southwest corner. 6000 SE Salmon St, Portland, OR 97215
WHEN: Sunday, October 8, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm.
Friends of Mt. Tabor will provide gloves and tools, but feel free to bring your favorites. A tent will mark the spot where we are meeting at the far Southwest corner of Mt. Tabor Park. Register through Track it Forward or email Lisa Wilcke (lisawilcke@gmail.com) so we can send you a map.

Portland Parks & Recreation Urban Forestry's mission is to manage and ensure Portland's urban forest infrastructure for current and future generations. Portland’s urban forest consists of 220,000 street trees, 1.2 million park trees, and innumerable private property trees. Urban Forestry is involved in managing or regulating all of these trees to differing degrees. Urban Forestry staff issue permits for planting, pruning, and removal of all public and some private trees and are on call 24/7 to respond to tree emergencies.
