Covid Behind Bars Data Project - Court Filings Team
Friday, April 22 2022
The Court Filings Team of the UCLA Law COVID Behind Bars Data Project is seeking volunteers to help track the status of litigation around the country relating to COVID-19 and its impact on incarcerated populations. The work involves reading and coding judicial opinions for our growing database. Students will gain familiarity with common legal issues raised by incarcerated people and how courts around the country handle those claims. The team is looking for students who can commit to volunteering at least ~3 hours per week until the end of April. Please email Cece Bobbitt at bobbitt2022@lawnet.ucla.edu if you are interested.
This work may qualify for the New York State Bar pro bono admission requirement. If this is something you are seeking, please contact Grace Meng at meng@law.ucla.edu for more information.
