Georgia Justice Project General Pardon Applications

Georgia Justice Project is seeking a group of 6-7 student volunteers to help low-income clients break down barriers to employment, housing, occupational licensing, and other essentials caused by their criminal record. Volunteers will join a cohort with students from other local law schools to assist clients with applications for a general pardon. GJP would provide training, materials, and ongoing attorney support for the group of volunteers. The training date is TBD but will likely take place during the second week of January. Students will begin. meeting with clients the following week. Volunteers will be expected to complete their application by the end of the spring semester (which could take at least 25 hours of work).
