National Immigrant Women's Advocacy Project (NIWAP) State Benefits Chart

Sunday, May 15 2022

Students will be creating state-by-state know your rights public benefits eligibility charts. NIWAP is gathering “know your rights” information to help Afghan women determine what benefits are available to them in different states. This will help women make informed decisions about their resettlement options and advocate for the full range of benefits and services they and their family members are eligible to receive. Students will create easy-to-read screening tool by benefits program for each state, identify and link the location where online applications are filed, and research whether any state-funded unemployment insurance is offered.

To volunteer, please send information about your interest and the time you could devote over Spring Semester 2022 to info@niwap.org. Please refer your project-related questions to Leslye Orloff at 202-210-8886.

No shifts have been set up for this event yet.
