Paws Between Homes Contract Drafting and Execution Project 6/6/22—7/29/22

Thursday, June 02 2022

Paws Between Homes (PBH) is a licensed Georgia animal rescue that provides temporary foster homes to the pets of people who are facing eviction or other housing loss. When PBH receives a request for help, volunteers conduct an intake interview with the pet owner, and we begin the search for a foster home that will be the right fit for that pet. After a maximum of 90 days of fostering, the pet is reunited with its owner.

Students will help with the preparation and execution of Paws Between Homes contracts that are necessary for accepting a pet into a foster home. Both the new client and the foster home must sign agreements that outline the terms of our program. Typically this occurs as the pet is being scheduled for transport. Students would work with clients and fosters at the time they are matched in order to gather the information needed for the contracts and make sure they are complete and executed prior to the pet being placed in the foster home.

This is a recurring project. Students should expect to work approximately 10 hours over the course of the project, with the expectation that at least one hour of work will be completed each week.

Students can sign up until the project is full, even if the start date has passed.
