LONG BEACH INVITATIONAL Regatta (Novice Only)

FRIDAY APRIL 6 - SUNDAY 8. Marine Stadium (site of 1932 Olympics)
We will need hospitality volunteers, hotel chaperones, bus chaperones, and more covering all 3 days of the event. Chaperones will be required to stay with their assigned athletes or at assigned spots for their ENTIRE shift. Chaperones must read and agree to LGRC Chaperone Policy, and must be approved by the coaches.
Start and end times may vary once on site- particularly with the hospitality tent shifts. Please be flexible.
The coaches have some rooms blocked at the Hampton Inn at Seal Beach. Please let them know if you are volunteering and would like a room. They may not be able to accommodate everyone.

FRIDAY and SUNDAY Bus Chaperone to and from Long Beach
Ride the bus with the athletes down to Long Beach and back. We want 2 chaperones per bus, wit 2 buses.
7:00am - 7:00pm
ENTIRE WEEKEND Hospitality manger
Act as lead hospitality manager- ensure everyone knows what to do and where to be!
8:00am - 11:00am
SUNDAY hotel chaperone
Sit in the lobby of the hotel as contact person for athlete, volunteers, and coaches UNTIL LAST BUS LEAVES. Great job to take while you get some work done!

Tear down hospitality tents, tables, signs, etc and load everything in the trailer. At time of writing this, we don't know our last race, so time this accordingly.

Unload the trailer and set Up the Hospitality Tent

WEDNESDAY OR THURSDAY Shop for groceries
Shop at Costco and Safeway for all food needed for hospitality, and arrange with person loading trailer to drop off food at boathouse.

SUNDAY EVENING Unload Trailer
Unload trailer. Coordinate with driver of trailer to meet them at the boathouse upon arrival. Neatly store items in shed. Nothing unclean and no open food can be left in the shed.
