Southside ReLeaf MLK Day of Service: Removing English Ivy at Ernest Road Park 10am-12pm
Monday, January 20 2025
Southside ReLeaf invites you to join us for a day “on” (not a day “off”) to honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. We’re seeking volunteers to rake English Ivy vines to help us clear out areas of the new park along Ernest Road so they can be reseeded and replanted with natives.
When: Monday, January 20, 2025 from 10 am - 12 pm.
Where: Plug 4701 Ernest Road into your GPS. Parking will be in a residential neighborhood on the street. If you arrive late, look for a grassy driveway with a “no parking” sign, and follow that path until you find the group. When parking, please do not block driveways or mailboxes.
What should I bring? Please wear long pants and closed toe shoes(boots recommended). Please bring a refillable water bottle and a snack if you want one. Gloves will be provided, but feel free to bring your own pair. Dress for the weather.
Do I need to sign up? Yes! Please sign up through CFengage: https://www.cfengage.org/opportunity/a0CNw00008q7fZyMAI/martin-luther-ki....
Please log your own hours and if you have any questions about the workday, please email Lisa at lisa@southsidereleaf.org.
